Grassroots America will join with Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith, District Attorney Matt Bingham, and local ministries to host a community and law enforcement educational forum on the rise of human trafficking in the Unites States, Texas and right here in Smith County. Our mission is to educate citizens on this terrible crime against human rights.
Grassroots America is bringing JoAnn’s friend Brandon Darby back to Tyler as a key speaker for this event.
Brandon is a key cast member in the documentary “Occupy Unmasked,” the final project of Andrew Breitbart before he died. http://occupyunmasked.com/default.aspx
Brandon Michael Darby is an activist who rose to international recognition for his role in co-founding and directing the Common Ground Relief organization in New Orleans’ 9th Ward in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Though once a prominent radical who worked with former Black Panther Party members, Palestinian and various other radical groups, Brandon’s experiences led him to have a deep love for his country and to feel an obligation to support and protect its system. He is now a defender of the US Constitution and Liberty.
Brandon gained international recognition for his role as an undercover operative in the FBI’s Informant/Human Source Program, working with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and having directly participated in stopping violence against U.S. and Israeli citizens. Furthermore, his public stance of being proud to have served with the FBI and his refusal to be silent and enter the Witness Protection Program has been a source of controversy and outrage amongst radical Leftist groups.
His work and efforts have been profiled in hundreds of print, radio, and television interviews. He has been a subject of numerous documentaries. He currently resides in his home state of Texas and continues with his passion to investigate and expose groups and individuals who intend harm to the United States. He has become a staunch ally and advocate for the FBI’s use of informants and for the role they play in the front lines of keeping citizens’ rights and safety protected. His passion is stamping out the evil of human trafficking.
Brandon Darby worked closely with Andrew Breitbart in efforts to expose the violence of the far Left and he continues to work with Breitbart.com. Darby and Breitbart started Citizen Patriot Response, a nonprofit that focuses on encouraging Tea Party and other liberty- minded groups to provide a better model for helping those in need than the current model offered by government.
JoAnn is planning a workshop with Heritage Action in the month of September. Heritage Action is the political action wing of the Heritage Foundation. JoAnn is a Heritage Sentinel and encourages you to make time for this important workshop.
Heritage Action holds Congress accountable to conservative principles.
For too long, big-government special interests have dominated Washington. Heritage Action believes Washington should work for America’s best interest, and Heritage Action holds them accountable to ensure they do.
Heritage Action takes the conservative policy visions outlined by their sister organization, The Heritage Foundation, and makes them a reality. They ensure members of Congress hear directly from their constituents, including over 700,000 members of The Heritage Foundation and millions of others around the country who believe in our principles and share our vision of America’s future.
Stay tuned…you will instantly like Wade Miller – the Heritage Action Regional Coordinator, Dallas.
Wade Miller served in the United States Marine Corps and is an infantry combat veteran with multiple deployments including Iraq and the Horn of Africa. After completing his military service, Wade enrolled at The University of Texas at Dallas and majored in Political Science. While attending university, Wade served as a Bill Archer Fellow and as an intern for the President of The Heritage Foundation, Dr. Edwin J. Feulner. After completing his Heritage Foundation internship, Wade went on to the American Enterprise Summer Institute.
