Illegal Immigration – The Texas Welcome Mat

The cold, hard facts are – the Texas Welcome Mat has been out for a long time. Our elected officials that are in key positions of legislative power put the welcome mat out. We kept electing them to office and didn’t pay close attention to the distance between what they said they were doing and what they actually did. Now, we are about to pay dearly.

We are about to pay a big, big price for issues that should have been addressed long ago. To give the TEA Party Conservatives credit, we tried in the 82nd legislative session (2011) to raise these issues by pushing the bills filed to withdraw the magnets that attract illegal entrants to our state. We tried in the 83rd legislative session (2013). Both times, we had a super majority or near super majority of Republicans in the Texas House, a majority of Republicans in the Texas Senate, and every statewide office was held by Republicans. In fact, those statewide seats have been held by Republicans for 14 years. They didn’t put citizens and legal residents first.

Speaking out about this now, I’m fine with having to be the skunk at the party – the meanie in the room – if that’s what it takes to get to the truth about the hostile takeover that has been going on in our state for a very long time.

Please see my latest op-ed in Breitbart Texas to see what I mean. Please note the embedded links in the article, when “clicked on,” will take you straight to Governor Rick Perry’s own words. I just had the audacity to put them together.

Please, please make it a habit to go to Breitbart Texas daily to get updates on the truth about the border. Their investigative reporters are on the ground at the border and will tell you what no other media outlet will.

Before some snarky, political groupie says I’m just doing this to make Rick Perry look bad and to make a buck with Breitbart, let me be clear. I am NOT a paid contributor to Breitbart Texas. They invited me to speak out on a national platform. I took them up on it. As for Rick Perry, he alone took these actions. He alone made these statements. He alone broke his own promises to Texans. I’m not responsible for his actions, but I’m happy to hold him accountable for the results.

Doctor: Risk of Diseases Brought by Migrants Not Being Taken Seriously

If you are not sure that you and your children are current on vaccinations and booster shots, you might check into getting those current sooner rather than later. Please don’t send me your opinion on vaccines. I don’t have time to debate that issue. I am concerned about the issues this doctor raises and you should be too.

We are working daily on this border issue. Please be careful not to believe everything you hear from statewide officials on the matter. Much of what they are saying is for political theater. The truth is coming from law enforcement. We are listening to them and trying to find ways to get them the help they need. Please pray for the men and women on the border who are risking their lives every day. With shots now being fired on our law enforcement from the Mexico side, their lives are in danger. Pray for them, please.
