JoAnn: Tell the GOP to Fight!

Illegal Fence Hopping1

Headline of the Day: Republicans Will Not Block Barack Obama (Because They Want the Same Thing)

Sadly, for our representative, constitutional republic (NOT a democracy) Erick’s editorial below this message is true. We have too many Big Government Republicans in cahoots with a Big Business lobby (US Chamber of Crony Capitalism) that loves cheap labor more than it loves our nation or values the rule of law. President Obama will take yet another unconstitutional act today to give amnesty to millions of illegals, and if you believe they won’t have access to welfare and social services funded by your wallet, you must still believe in the tooth fairy.

The remedy? First, pray for our nation. Ask the Lord to raise up men and women of integrity in whose hearts burns the same Freedom Fire that directed our Founders.

Second, if you still donate to the Republican Party at the national or state level – stop it! Until the GOP Leadership reins in their liberal officeholders, shut your wallets. If your county GOP and local clubs are truly conservative, support them – but don’t give one thin dime to the sell-outs in Austin and Washington DC. Be careful about giving to groups who may be PACs for the liberal GOP.

Third, today call your US Representative and your two US Senators. Call Speaker John Boehner’s office and Senator Mitch McConnell. Tell them to fight President Obama’s lawlessness and follow the US Constitution. Remember, silence from YOU = approval to an elected official. It is time for you to be silent no more.

I need to see you at our meeting tomorrow.  Don’t let a little cold rain stop you from hearing about a potential attack on our electric grid from my good friend, Russ Ramsland – a former Reagan Administration staffer for the Strategic Defense Initiative.

For Texas – for Liberty,

US Representative Louie Gohmert – as always – is fighting and speaking out. Leave a message thanking him. Tyler:  (903) 561-6349; Washington DC: (202) 225-3035.

If you live outside of Congressional District 1 (Louie Gohmert’s District), go here to find your US Representative:

US Senator Ted Cruz is leading the charge to stop Obama. Leave a message to thank him. Tyler: (903) 593-5130; Washington DC: (202) 224-5922

US Senator John Cornyn: Tyler:  903-593-0902; Washington DC: 202-224-2934

US House Speaker John Boehner: (202) 225-0600 (Speaker’s Office number – not district)

Senate Minority Leader (Senate Majority Leader 2015) Mitch McConnell: (202) 224-2541

Republicans Will Not Block Barack Obama (Because They Want the Same Thing)

By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | November 20th, 2014 at 04:30 AM

In 2011, Barack Obama said he did not have the constitutional authority to do what he is going to announce today. In fact, on March 28, 2011, Barack Obama said

“With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case…. There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as president.”

The only thing to change between 2011 and now are two elections — one of which saw President Obama win after saying this. The other saw both he and his party go down to defeat after suggesting he had changed his mind. In other words, the status quo of public opposition (even among Hispanic voters) to a unilateral decision by fiat remains.

What also remains is a Republican leadership that wants amnesty too. The Republican leaders know they must put on a dramatic display for the public, but they are already stacking the deck to ensure Barack Obama gets away with what he is doing.
