Choosing one of these men to be the next lieutenant governor of Texas is extremely important. As the presiding chairman of the state senate, the “lite gov” sets the agenda for the Texas Senate and chooses the committee chairs for very powerful senate committees. The lieutenant governor can kill bills and shape the outcome of the legislative session just by who is chosen to chair and serve on a committee. We cannot afford to make a four-year mistake.

What: The East Texas Constitutional Alliance – of which Grassroots America is a founding member – will sponsor a Lt. Governor Candidate Forum and Straw Poll
When: Saturday, October 12, 2013
Time: Doors open at 2 PM; event begins at 2:30 PM and ends at 4 PM with straw poll voting until 5 PM.

In this volunteer role, she works directly with grassroots leaders from across the state, with statewide organizations as a member of the Conservative Budget Coalition, and with legislators to develop and pass constitutionally conservative legislation and to kill “big government” legislation. She is the full-time volunteer Executive Director of Grassroots America – We the People; a self-retired county commissioner; a sought-after public speaker; a guest political analyst for local media; a Heritage Action Sentinel; and a member of US Senator Ted Cruz’s “Kitchen Cabinet” grassroots team of advisors.
