Texas State Comptroller Candidate Debra Medina will speak to Grassroots America at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, 10818 University Blvd in Tyler at a 6:30 PM meeting on Thursday, September 19.
Debra Medina is a licensed nurse and manages a healthcare consulting firm. She serves as the chairman of We Texans, promoting public policy and legislation to advance and protect private property rights, personal and economic liberty, and the legitimate role of states and citizens within the framework of constitutional government. In 2010, she ran as a candidate for governor in the Texas Republican Primary.
Medina will lay out her campaign’s focus on tax, property, and sound money issues and how the constitutional role of the state comptroller has been underutilized. She will describe why her corporate and small business experience is the foundation needed to lead the large state agency called the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
