We need you for Pro-Life Week in Austin

The radical left plans to protest our Monday evening pro-life rally in Austin.  If you can possibly make it, we need everyone who is pro-life to attend the evening rally.  If you can attend other events, please do so.  Our executive director, JoAnn Fleming, will be in Austin all week coordinating with the leaders of Texas Right to Life, Eagle Forum, Operation Outcry and others.

Standing up for life – for babies who are five months along in the womb – is a liberty issue.  To sit idle and do nothing is to condone a practice reminiscent of Nazi Germany.  If you cannot make the trip to Austin, please pray for those on the front lines.  Pray for those who do not value life, that God will turn their hearts, and they will yield to His call.  Pray that the dark plans afoot in our Capitol will be rendered useless and that life will prevail.

Come to Austin for Pro-Life Week or for just one day!

Smith County residents should go to State Rep. Matt Schaefer’s office, Capitol Extension office # E1.406 to pick up rally signs in support of life.  You may store your belongings in Rep. Schaefer’s office.  Bring snacks and water.  You are encouraged to carpool as parking will be crowded.  Parking is available in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage, 1201 San Jacinto.  Metered parking is available around the capitol complex, but don’t count on that parking being available late in the day.  Other parking:  Doubletree Hotel – 303 W. 15th St.; Bob Bullock State History Museum – 1800 N. Congress; Wells Fargo parking garage – 400 W. 15th Street.

Monday, July 8:  Senate Public Hearing, 10 a.m. in room E1.036, Registration begins at 9 a.m., Capitol doors open at 7 a.m.  Be prepared to stand in line to go through security check points at the entrances unless you hold a certified handgun license.

Monday – 7 p.m. – outside at Capitol South Steps – Austin

Let’s make this the biggest rally ever!  Bring your friends and family

Wear blue!  [NOTE: Please do not call or write Grassroots America to complain about the color choice. This color was chosen by the sponsors who are all conservative.  It has NOTHING to do with turning Texas blue for the Democrats.  Do not allow the Left to steal your color chart.  The Radical Left has chosen burnt orange for its color. Any national media outlets who have gotten the message of blue wrong are willingly and intentionally misreporting.  This is not a rally to show support for a political party.]

Tuesday: 10 a.m. House Convenes taking up HB 2, second and third/FINAL readings possible
