Grassroots America volunteers will be helping with this event.
The Board encourages you to attend.
On Friday, August 15, starting at 5:00 PM, Friends of Sheriff Larry Smith will host a fajita dinner with both silent and live auctions. Many interesting and fun auction items will be offered at the event to raise funds for Sheriff Larry Smith.
Why are we having this event now? First, because Sheriff Larry Smith spends money out of his own pocket to do a job that benefits all of us – money that does not come out of county taxpayer funds. We want to say “thank you” for the outstanding job Sheriff Larry Smith and the fine staff and officers of the Sheriff’s Department are doing to protect our life, liberty, and property. Second, we want Larry Smith to continue to lead the men and women who serve the Smith County Sheriff’s Department. This fund-raising effort will help us keep Larry Smith right where he is, doing one of the most important and dangerous jobs in Smith County – keeping law and order.
We sincerely hope you, your family, and your friends can join us.
