Extra push to get conservative voices heard to protect the Platform!

The LGBT agenda is currently intentionally being advanced in our Republican Party through the Log Cabin Republicans.  They have applied for coalition status, which would give them an official affiliation and automatically entitle them to have a booth at our state convention.  This will lead to our party conforming to their demands for special rights and will begin to dismantle our traditional family principles and values.  Next, they will move to strip our Platform of family values as defined in the Christian faith. If they are successful, conservative Christians will abandon the Republican Party.

From the Log Cabin website:

Log Cabin Republicans work to make the Republican Party more inclusive, particularly on LGBT issues. Equality will be impossible to achieve without Republican votes. Working from inside the Party—educating other Republicans about LGBT issues—is the most effective way to gain new Republican allies for equality. Log Cabin also exists as a voice for GOP values among members of the LGBT community.”

Their application will be voted on in the Auxiliaries and Coalitions Committee meeting on Friday, January 31st, and if passed by the Committee, will go to the floor on Saturday, February 1st to be approved by the entire body of the State Republican Executive Committee.

Two actions YOU can take, but please be sure to take Action #1!

1.  Call or email your State GOP Executive Committeeman & Committeewoman and politely, but firmly, ask them to vote “NO” to the Log Cabin’s request for Coalition status.  Find SREC contact info for your Senate District’s Republican Committee members by scrolling to the directory below.

2.  Attend the SREC quarterly meeting and bring your pastor (if possible) to show support for our Pro-Family Principles and Platform Planks.
