Dear Mr President:
We the undersigned citizen action groups across the state of Texas join with the leadership of Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom (TURF), Texans for Toll-free Highways (TTH), and Grassroots America – We the People (GAWTP) in applauding the efforts of US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to crackdown on the issuance of non-domiciled Commercial Driver Licenses (CDL) to illegals – many of whom are not proficient in either reading or speaking English. Horrifyingly, some states have been caught issuing CDLs to ‘No Name Given!’1 This emergency rule change is long overdue!
Citing Public Safety Threats, TX Groups Urge Federal Action on Autonomous Vehicles
In addition to supporting this critical regulatory reform, our Texas groups also call on the federal government to take immediate and bold action regarding the proliferation of Level 4 and Level 5 Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) (primarily commercial trucks) that are operating with no human driver onboard.
