Coalition voice, release letter asking Governor Abbott for specific action
to deter voter fraud in upcoming November 2018 General Election
(Dallas, TX) On Thursday, August 16, Aaron Harris, Executive Director of Direct Action Texas and JoAnn Fleming, Executive Director of Grassroots America – We the People will represent a coalition of over 100 grassroots political opinion leaders from across Texas when they release contents of a letter addressed to Governor Abbott, calling on the Governor to mandate specific action to reduce potential voter fraud before the November 2018 General Election.
The Texas Conservative Grassroots Coalition is grateful for Governor Abbott’s previous responses to its requests for action. For example, our Coalition called upon Governor Abbott to add election integrity to his call for the 85th Legislative Special Session. He did. Upon signing SB 5 into law on August 11, 2017, Governor Abbott stated, “It is a primary function of government to protect citizens’ right to vote, and I will not allow the integrity of the ballot box to be compromised in Texas.” We agree!
The letter signed by grassroots leaders, who represent thousands of grassroots Texans, will be released and discussed at a press conference on Thursday August 16th at 1:00 PM at 4101 McEwen, Farmers Branch, TX 75244 in Suite 300 – Third Floor Conference Room.
